Betsy Berkhemer-Credaire, Chief Executive Officer
In January 2018, Betsy became national CEO of 2020 Women on Boards. For six years, she had been the co-chair of the Los Angeles/Orange County 2020WOB National Conversation on Board Diversity event with Renee Fraser. Author of two books, The Board Game – How Smart Women Become Corporate Directors, and Winning the Board Game—How Women Directors Make The Difference, Betsy was founding chair of the Los Angeles/Orange County chapter of WomenCorporateDirectors (WCD), a global nonprofit network of current women directors, and is a member of International Women’s Forum.

Since 1994, she has co-owned Berkhemer Clayton Inc. retained executive search. She previously built and sold one of the largest independent public relations firms in Southern California.  She and her business partner Fred Clayton pioneered diversity searches for senior management and corporate boards of brand-name corporations, universities and large nonprofits.

Before joining 2020WOB, Betsy led the efforts of the National Association of Women Business Owners-California (NAWBO-CA) to secure passage of SB826,  the first law in the U.S. requiring public companies headquartered in California to add more women board members before year-end 2021. As CEO of 2020WOB, she continues to support those efforts and track results.  She was previously on board of Southern California Leadership Network (SCLN) for 25 years, and the advisory boards of Southern California Edison (SCE) and UCLA Medical Center.  She lives in Little Tokyo, downtown Los Angeles.

 

Breanna Bakke, Director of Finance and Research
Breanna has worked for 2020 Women on Boards since 2012.  She relocated to Los Angeles from Boston to continue her work when the campaign moved its national headquarters to LA.  As an advocate for gender equality, Breanna brings extensive knowledge of women’s leadership issues. In Boston, she was elected Co-President of the Massachusetts Women’s Political Caucus Young Professional Leadership Board in 2015 and has served on the 2020 Women on Boards/Boston Campaign Committee.  Until 2017, Breanna was also an assistant project director with YPO–Young Presidents’ Organization– where she provided logistical support for national and international business events. She previously interned at Morgan Stanley and the Massachusetts Women’s Political Caucus, where she built a statewide database tracking political election campaigns. Breanna graduated from Bentley University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Global Perspectives. She lives in Los Angeles.

 

Tyra Butler, Events & Program Associate
A graduate of UC Berkeley, Tyra previously worked for the Jack Morton Worldwide, a promotions agency in San Francisco, division of Omnicom. She majored in Sociology with an emphasis on Human Resources, Diversity & Inclusion. She is responsible for managing programs and relationships with the volunteer campaign chairs in 30 to 40 cities throughout the U.S. and key international markets, who orchestrate the National Conversation on Board Diversity events annually. She lives in Pasadena, CA.

 

Natalia McCullough, Communications Consultant
A graduate of Bentley University in Boston, Natalia earned her bachelor’s degree in marketing with a minor in Information Design and Corporate Communications and English in 2017. She was born and raised in Puerto Rico, and is dedicated to advancing women’s careers. She manages the social media outreach for 2020WOB from Boston, MA.
